The sweater that has launched thousands of knitting journeys.
My First Sweater was designed for knitters who love the idea of making a sweater but feel intimidated by the process. Knit from the top down in one seamless piece, it skips the dreaded seaming and lets you focus on the fun part—watching your sweater take shape right on your needles.
The chunky yarn and oversized stitches make progress easy to see, while the simple silhouette creates a timeless sweater you'll actually want to wear. A complete step-by-step video tutorial guides you through every stage of the process, making this an approachable introduction to sweater knitting and a rewarding project you'll be proud to finish.
Worked in the round from the neck to the armholes, then stitches are placed on hold for the sleeves while the body is worked in the round to the bottom edge. When the body is complete, the sleeves are worked in the round to the cuff. You can easilty adjust the length of the body and sleeves by adding or reducing the number of rounds.
