Gauge:  Stranded Stockinette Stitch on size US 13 (9 mm) needles: 6.5 sts & 7 rounds/2” (5 cm)

Materials:

• Mohair So Soft Yarn | 65 yds 60 m | 50 g each, 47% Super Kid Mohair, 53% Extra Fine Merino
  
• US 8 (5 mm) 16" (40 cm) circular needles
• US 13 (9 mm) 16" (40 cm) circular needles

Stranded colorwork that looks complex but isn’t. The forgiving mohair halo blends colors and hides imperfections, making this a confident first step into colorwork. The repeats are simple, the floats are easy to manage (you don't need to carry colors that are not used in certain rows and mohair ends are very easy to weave in with a felting needle).

At the same time, the softened, painterly effect keeps it interesting if you are an experienced knitter who wants something different from traditional stranded motifs.

This hat is knitted in stranded colorwork using multiple colors: Color 1 - background, Color 2 - leaves, Color 3 - flower in first band of flowers (optional Color 4 - in second band of flowers).  Colors not worked are carried along on the back of the work.
