Gauge: Garter stitch on size US 19 (15 mm) needles: 6.5 sts, 14.5 rounds/4" (10 cm)
1x1 Rib stitch on size US 17 (12 mm) needles: 8 sts, 12 rounds/4” (10 cm)
(Note: This sweater is knit in the round, so your gauge swatch should also be knit in the round. Usually, knitting garter stitch in the round results in looser tension since there are purl rows.)

Worked in the round from the neck to the armholes, then stitches are placed on hold for the sleeves while the body is worked in the round to the bottom edge. When the body is complete, the sleeves are worked in the round to the cuff. You can easily adjust the length of the body and sleeves by adding or reducing the number of rounds.
