The Recluse Cardigan can be made in Merino No. 5, Dream, Big Cotton, or Summer yarn. Please refer to the table below for specifics on each version of this project. Please note that the Dream edit of this cardigan uses two strands of yarn held together.
The actual pattern is the same for all versions, except for the neckband. Please note the specific instructions for each version in that section.
MATERIALS & FINISHED MEASUREMENTS (APPROX.)
Note: All versions of this cardigan can be done on 32’’ (80 cm) circulars. Magic loop will need to be used for the sleeves. To avoid magic loop you can use 20’’ (50 cm) circulars or DPNs for the sleeves.
GAUGE
Merino No. 5: Stockinette on size US 19 (15 mm) needles: 4 sts/3” (7.5 cm), 8 rows/4” (10 cm)
Dream: Stockinette on size US 17 (12 mm) needles with yarn held double: 8 sts, 11 rows /4” (10 cm)
Big Cotton: Stockinette on size US 17 (12 mm) needles: 5 sts, 7 rows/3” (7.5 cm)
Summer: Stockinette on size US 17 (12 mm) needles: 9 sts, 9 rows/4” (10 cm)
