Naturally Dyed Dream (Merino Worsted)
Dream is our new name for Merino Worsted yarn. Though the name is different and we have a new palette of color offerings, nothing else about Dream has changed: it is the same yarn you know and love!
Available in two colorways: Amethyst and Rose Quartz.
Amethyst is dyed with Cochineal and Rose Quartz is dyed with Quebracho Bark.
Please note the distinct dye lots when making your selection
100% Merino Wool, 1.8 oz (50 g), 109 yards (100 m)
Recommended needle size: US 7 (4.5 mm) to US 19 (15 mm).
This soft and chunky merino wool yarn is perfect for quick projects - one ball is enough for a beanie or a cowl, 3-4 for a scarf or shawl and 6-7 for a sweater or a cardigan. One ball knits up in 2-3 hours.
If you would like to make any of our Dream (Merino Worsted) projects with our Naturally Dyed yarn, simply purchase the corresponding amount of yarn and let us know which pattern you’d like- we will gladly send it to you free of charge. No two skeins are identical and color variations will occur between skeins within the same colorway and same dye lot. The yarn was dyed in small batches; quantities are very limited. Please make sure to order enough yarn to complete your project.
Due to the natural dyes, you may experience some color transfer or bleeding with this yarn. Hands, wooden needles, and light colored yarn or fabric may be affected. We recommend pre-washing your yarn before use:
Fill your sink, bathtub, or a large bowl with lukewarm water. Slowly submerge your yarn and move it gently through the water- be careful not to wring or agitate the fibers, as this can cause the yarn to felt. Remove the skein and gently squeeze out any excess water. Repeat as necessary, always using clean water, until the remaining water is clear. Allow your yarn to air-dry completely before using.
Yarn made in Italy, dyed in the USA using natural materials.
Care: Dry clean or hand wash in cold water, lay flat to dry.
