Waejong Kim was born and raised in Korea. In 1989 she moved to Tokyo, Japan where she graduated from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies with a degree in Japanese. A few years later Waejong opened Seian, a Korean fusion restaurant in Nagoya, Japan with her sister. In 2001 Waejong moved to New York City. In the Spring of 2004 Waejong learned to crochet and since then she hasn't stopped crocheting. In the fall of 2004 she took a long vacation from her corporate job and never went back because all she wanted to do was to crochet all day long. Waejong is fulfilling her dream of creating one of a kind crochet clothes, jewelry and accessories. Waejong's designs have been featured in various fashion magazines, including Vogue.

Anna Pulvermakher was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia. In 1991 Anna moved to Seattle, WA with her family where she graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Mathematics and worked in the software industry for five years. However, her real passion was art. She attended art school as a child in Russia and contintued her art studies in Seattle by taking sculpture and drawing lessons from Viktor Sirotin, an accomplished Russian sculptor. In 2002 Anna resigned from her software job and in the Spring of 2003 she moved to New York City to pursue her dream of becoming a professional artist. She took part in several group exhibitions in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania thoroughout 2004--2008. She is currently working on a series of woodcuts.

In the spring of 2004 Anna and Waejong met at New York's Fashion Institute of Technology and in the fall of the same year they founded Loopy Mango. They have published Crochet Jewelry: 40 Beautiful and Unique Designs in the fall of 2007.
